The 2005-2007 vice president of the World Council of Comparative Education Societies, Giovanni Pampanini (Palermo, Italy, 1957) coordinates the “Lê Thành Khôi” Atelier, an international and interdisciplinary group devoted to Global Democracy. He is the recipient of the 2008 Honorary Citizenship of Bahia Blanca, Argentine for his cultural merits and the 2014/2015 Asolapo/UNESCO Prize for Peace Education. The book introduces a dimension of Intercultural Education that is strictly linked with the theory of Global Democracy as developed by the author all along a dozen years in collaboration with an international group of researchers from different parts of the world. A disciple of Lê Thành Khôi, Emeritus Professor of Comparative Education and Development Education in La Sorbonne University, Paris, Pampanini narrates here his original research, first, as a professional educator, then, as a philosopher of Politics, intertwining the two sides, educational practice and philosophical speculation.

While narrating the trajectory from Intercultural Education to Global Democracy, Pampanini also offers his own approach to Education named Educational Enlightenment including a bibliography about its reception in the national and international academic audience.
