What do you do? Do you sell books? What do you guys do?

Well, I must admit it felt funny responding to these kinds of questions, but truth be told, about twenty years ago I was not able to differentiate between a book publisher and an author. To me, the two were the same thing. An author was a publisher, and a publisher was an author, which was not and is not true.

When you talk about a book publisher you are referring to a company whose role is to make books and ensure they are availed to readers. An author is a writer whose book has been published and is available to readers either as a printed copy or an electronic copy.
